SUMMARY:40 Hours PC training (5 FAMAC CPD points)
DESCRIPTION:FAMAC’s PC training is designed for qualified mediators who are ready to deepen their practice and expand into one of the most impactful areas of family dispute resolution. This intensive training equips participants with the specialised knowledge\, tools\, and frameworks needed to effectively support high-conflict families navigating post-separation parenting. Covering key areas such as child development\, parental alienation\, trauma-informed practice\, legal frameworks\, and decision-making authority\, the course bridges the gap between mediation and parenting coordination — preparing you to step confidently into this dual role. \nThe programme is facilitated by a team of seasoned parenting coordinators who bring a wealth of real-world experience to every session. Rather than theory alone\, participants benefit from practical insights drawn from years of frontline work with complex family dynamics\, court-referred cases\, and multi-disciplinary collaboration. Through a blend of case studies\, role-play scenarios\, group discussion\, and mentored reflection\, facilitators ensure that learning is grounded\, applied\, and immediately transferable to practice. Whether you are newly exploring this specialisation or looking to formalise existing experience\, this training offers the depth and credibility to distinguish your work in the field. \nTraining dates: 25 July 2026 from 09:00 – 13:00 (In person training)\n27\, 28 and 30 July 2026 from 17:30 – 20:00 (Online)\n1 August 2026 from 09:00 – 13:00 (In person training) \nCost: R8000 (members)\, R9000 (non-members) \nRegistration link: https://forms.gle/6XSQxqng7S9iTUsv6\n \n

SUMMARY:Roleplay and fishbowl practical (3 FAMAC CPD points)
DESCRIPTION:Our Roleplay and fishbowl workshop is specifically designed for mediators who want to move beyond theory and put their skills to the test in a safe\, structured\, and supportive environment. Whether you are newly qualified or have been practising for some time\, the ability to handle real-world dynamics with confidence comes only through deliberate\, guided practice. This hands-on workshop places participants in realistic mediation scenarios\, allowing them to refine their technique\, test different approaches\, and develop the kind of situational awareness that only comes with experience. It is the ideal space to make mistakes\, learn from them\, and grow — without the pressure of a live case. \nThe fishbowl format is at the heart of this workshop\, offering a uniquely powerful learning experience where participants take turns mediating while the rest of the group observes and reflects. This method creates rich opportunities for peer feedback\, honest discussion\, and collective insight that classroom learning simply cannot replicate. Observers gain as much as those in the chair — watching others navigate difficult moments\, manage emotional escalation\, and apply core mediation principles in real time is an education in itself. Facilitated debrief sessions after each round ensure that every participant leaves with clear\, actionable takeaways to immediately strengthen their practice. \nDate: 1 August 2026 from 09:00 – 13:00 \nCost: R400 (members)\, R600 (non-members) \nVenue: To be confirmed \nRegistration link: https://forms.gle/cq9iMVoVNemdE1yC9
